INKLESS REVISION

CAMOUFLAGE

Nue Conceal serum ampoules used in skin restoration treatments at GLAMHER

Inkless scar revision is a cutting-edge treatment designed to improve the appearance of scars by stimulating the skin’s natural healing process. This technique uses a specialized medical-grade serum applied directly to the scar tissue with precision tools. The serum is packed with nourishing ingredients that promote collagen production and skin regeneration, helping to flatten, smooth, and blend scars into the surrounding skin. Unlike traditional tattooing methods, this procedure does not use pigment, making it ideal for clients who want a natural, non-pigment-based approach to scar revision. Over time, clients notice a visible improvement in the texture and tone of their scars.

Scar camouflage is a specialized tattooing technique that uses high-quality pigments to blend scars with the surrounding natural skin tone. Using a customized approach, pigments are meticulously matched to the client’s unique skin color and applied with a precision tool to create a seamless, natural appearance. This procedure is ideal for reducing the visibility of scars, stretch marks, or skin discoloration. By effectively camouflaging imperfections, this treatment restores a uniform look to the skin, boosting confidence and helping clients feel their best.

Insurance and OHIP coverage

OHIP_edited.png

OHIP covers paramedical tattooing when it is performed by a physician in an OHIP‑funded outpatient or hospital setting, however wait times can be quite lengthy and not many physician's offer this service.

For those opting to work with a paramedical tattoo artist, the procedure is typically not covered directly by OHIP; however, many clients use their private health plans or Health Spending Accounts (HSA's) to submit receipts and reimbursement requests. This approach is commonly supported by insurance providers. Adding a physician’s referral letter and detailed receipt can enhance the likelihood of reimbursement.

Reimbursement Guide

Worried if your service will be covered? We put together a free PDF guide to help walk you through the process.
